1. HOW ARE APPOINTMENTS MADE

The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Dental appointments are an excused absence. Missing school can be kept to a minimum when regular dental care is continued.  Since appointed times are reserved exclusively for each patient we ask that you please notify our office 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time.  Too many broken appointments will result in no longer getting reserved appointments. Your child will go on a waiting list. We have many children in need of dentistry.  Another patient, who needs our care, could be scheduled if we have sufficient time to notify them. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we ask for your assistance in this regard.

2. AM I ALLOWED TO ACCOMPANY MY CHILD DURING THEIR VISITS

We invite you to stay with your child during the initial comprehensive dental examination.  Our purpose is to gain your child's confidence and overcome apprehension. Should your child need treatment you are more than welcome to accompany your child to the treatment room.  One parent is allowed to accompany their child receiving treatment. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.  We ask that you be respectful of the Doctor’s and staff’s time and request that all cell phones or electronic devices are put away and on silent mode in the exam areas.

 

3. WHAT ABOUT FINANCES

 

We accept Medicaid and most dental insurances.  Payment for professional services is always due at the time dental treatment is provided. Our expert staff will gladly go over your child’s treatment plan and cost of services to ensure your child receives the best possible care. We accept cash, personal checks, debit cards, Visa and Mastercard.

Orthodontic Services – We offer payment plans with no interest financing.

 

4. OUR OFFICE POLICY REGARDING DENTAL INSURANCE

 

It is ultimately your responsibility to understand your insurance benefits. We request you read and understand your dental plan benefits prior to seeking treatment.  Your insurance benefits are a contract between you and your employer.  The amount of coverage you will receive will depend on the quality of the plan purchased by your employers, not the fees of the doctor.  Your deductible and the estimated portion not covered by your insurance are due at the time of services provided.

 

As a courtesy to you we will file your claims with your primary insurance company.  We request that we receive up-to-date insurance information prior to your child’s appointment date.  We prefer the appointment day to be reserved for clinical matters.  All business matters should be received before the appointment. You must provide the office with the proper dental insurance information.  If we have not received this information one business day before the schedule appointment, you will be responsible for payment of all fees.  Our staff is readily available and happy to help you with this part of the process.

 

MOST IMPORTANTLY, please keep us informed of any insurance changes such as policy name, insurance company, address or a change of employment.
